The new library in Cheyenne

Cheyenne's library won 2008 U.S. Library of the Year, and I can see why. John's mom volunteers on Fridays and we have always loved libraries. These photos are on the children's level. A giant gear mechanism, which Stephen played with for 1 1/2 hours with no distractions. They have this huge chess game. John, Nathan & sister Lisa had fun playing chess. What a library!

Spring Break in Wyoming!

We had a wonderful time with John's family, Mom, Deb & surprise, Lisa. No one knew Lisa was coming from Georgia except Deb. Mom had all her children & grandkids together in one place. Lisa cooked us up a wonderful breakfast that we won't soon forget.

Mini Family Reunion

We had a great time together, Dad, Sylvia, Ron, Renay, Tim, Ashlyn & Adam. We even had some memorable snow adventures getting there.

"Spring" in Nebraska

We were able to go to Nebraska & Wyoming for spring break, it was great! We just barely made it through the blizzard & snow. Here we are at Dad & Sylvia's new home in Gering, NE.

Stephen's bubba league

Stephen is playing on a bubba league this spring. Nathan is coach's helper, and is very patient with the little guys. We have made new friends right in our neighborhood.

Our oldest son, Nathan, wants to be a preacher. He is taking a class called "How to Speak so People will Listen". He was able to speak for a few minutes on the Solid Rock Broadcast here in Las Vegas, that Darrell has hosted live for 35 years.

Red Rock Family hike

We are under a waterfall that we hiked to. This is the lovely pathway as we hiked to the waterfall. We had fun climbing & hiking. It was a great time together!

Red Rock hike in January!

Here we are at Red Rock Conservation about 20 minutes from our house. We took a hike on Martin Luther King Day. There is a lovely seasonal waterfall, and we had a great time. It was fun to be together and to enjoy God's lovely creation!

New clothes & new minivan!

Here we are in our new clothes from Christmas, and now we got an almost new vehicle. It is a 2008 Chevy Uplander, we never do things like this!! Our old van was having lots of troubles and we were anticipating a big repair, so we started to look. We had been saving to replace the van for some time now. This van has 13K miles, and they were having a great New Years Day sale, since hardly anyone is buying cars right now. So it certainly worked out well for us! We will have it paid off in 2 years, and Lord willing we can drive it for 10 years!

snow in Vegas

It snowed here in Vegas, what a surprise. They even closed school the next day. Henderson got it really bad, and they had to use a road grater to scrape the roads, since they had nothing else!

We had fun, and these cool cars are across the street from our house!
